Every school has a duty to provide a safe environment for children with allergies. With food allergies and severe allergic reactions becoming increasingly common, it is essential that all staff understand how to recognise anaphylaxis and respond quickly in an emergency.

- Common allergy triggers
- Recognising the signs and symptoms of a severe allergic reaction
- How to respond quickly and effectively in an emergency
- How and when to administer an adrenaline auto-injector (such as an EpiPen® or Eurneffy® nasal spray)
- The importance of calling emergency services
- How to support children with allergies and create a positive, inclusive school environment
